Range Rules

RANGE RULES

1. ALL SHOOTERS PRESENT ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR RANGE CONTROL AND SAFETY.

2. NO ONE MAY USE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS OR BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR DRUGS WHILE HANDLING GUNS OR SHOOTING AT THE RANGE.

3. USE OF EYE AND HEARING PROTECTION IS REQUIRED BY ALL PERSONS IN THE RANGE AREA.

4. NO LOADED GUNS IN THE RANGE AREA EXCEPT AT THE FIRING LINE.

5. ALL GUNS MUST BE UNLOADED WITH THE ACTION OPEN AND MAGAZINE REMOVED OR UNLOADED AND HOLSTERED OR CASED WHEN THE SHOOTER IS OFF THE FIRING LINE.

6. ABSOLUTELY NO DRY FIRING OF GUNS EXCEPT ON THE FIRING LINE WITH THE MUZZLE POINTED DOWN RANGE.

7. MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE ONLY ONE GUEST AT THE FIRING LINE AT A TIME. THE MEMBER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF ALL GUESTS.

8. SHOOTERS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AND BE UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF AN ADULT MEMBER.

9. A RED RANGE FLAG AND HOLDER IS AVAILABLE AT THE GATE ENTRANCE. (FLAG IS STORED IN WHITE TUBE ATTACHED TO THE GATE). WHENEVER A MEMBER ENTERS THE GATE TO SHOOT THE RED FLAG WILL BE DISPLAYED IN THE HOLDER. WHEN THE LAST MEMBER LEAVES THE RANGE, THE FLAG WILL BE TAKEN DOWN, STORED AND THE GATE LOCKED.

10. RANGE MEMBER ACCESS IS CONTROLLED BY A NON-DUPLICATABLE NUMBERED KEY SYSTEM. THE MEMBER ISSUED THE KEY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS SECURITY AND USE ONLY BY THAT MEMBER.

11. EACH YEAR THE GATE LOCK WILL BE CHANGED ON OCTOBER 31ST WHEN THE NEXT YEARS MEMBERSHIP IS DUE.

12. EVERYONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RANGE CLEANLINESS. PICK UP BRASS AND TRASH. SWEEP UP IN THE SHELTERS.
